Description
In Terelj in Mongolia, we stayed with a family who lived a traditionally nomadic Mongolian lifestyle. They lived in gers, which are large felt tents that can be dismantled with relative ease, and they support themselves through what is essentially free-range grazing of goats, cows and the like.
Of course that - and the lack of electricity - means that they have to be up early to tend to the animals, and it was then that I took this image of the head of the family and one of his nieces going about their business.
