It's hot here. Stiflingly hot. Permanently sticky-with-sweat hot. Although, in fairness, it only hit 28C yesterday, it's humid - so there's nowhere to hide from the cloying warmth. I went for a run during the daytime earlier in the week and struggled - the air felt fat in my mouth, lazy and starved of oxygen. I ran after sundown last night instead; though that was better, it was still hard work. My face was running with rivers of sweat by the end.

Anyway, Mum and Dad have gone off on holiday (to Wales, because of the steam trains - Dad's obsession, and most definitely not Mum's) so I'm home alone for a week and a half. That's not necessarily a bad thing - I have plenty of time for photography and editing, and I might even try to make an early start to capture sunrise over the lakes. I really should find somewhere else to shoot around here, though.

I'm back up to date with dA and am getting on with a few new bits and bobs. I may even do something that I've sometimes considered but never got round to - look into some of dA's clubs and find out whether or not there are any that might have me. It's hard to know where to start...
